Our Curriculum

At Hands-On Junior Primary, we follow South Africa’s National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) to ensure every learner achieves strong academic foundations. Our primary language of instruction is English, with Afrikaans (FAL) and isiZulu (SAL) offered as additional languages. All textbooks and learning materials are carefully selected and CAPS-aligned, ensuring students meet national academic standards.

We combine a structured, well-organised timetable with the flexibility to provide extra support and individualized attention when needed. This approach allows each child to learn at their own pace, ensuring both academic progress and confidence in their abilities.

Stationery and Curriculum Fees

All stationery, workbooks, and textbooks are provided by Hands-On Junior Primary. A once-off fee covers these materials for the full academic year and ensures your child has everything they need to succeed from day one. This fee should be paid in full before the start of the school year so that each learner receives their personal set of stationery and academic resources.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are payable in advance on the 1st of each month. Timely payment ensures your child’s continued attendance at Hands-On Junior Primary.

We offer a 5% discount for families who pay the full year’s tuition upfront. Families with siblings may also be eligible for a sibling discount—please enquire at the school office for details.
